Nathan Carter Issues New Single as Major Record Deal Looms
Fermanagh country singer Nathan Carter has released a new single, ‘What’s Up’, as he works to finalise a contract with a major record label.
The track is available on streaming platforms and has received airplay on radio stations locally and nationally.
It follows his earlier single ‘Priceless’, which was co-written with producer Guy Chambers. Both releases are building anticipation for Carter’s next full-length album.
Carter also revealed plans for additional music later this year, sharing behind-the-scenes footage from a recording session with songwriter John Bettis.
The releases come after Carter confirmed he was close to signing with a major label, describing the move as a significant career boost. He previously spent time with Decca Records before operating independently. In an interview with RSVP Country, he said a large label would make it easier to promote his upcoming material.
Looking ahead, Carter said he will introduce new songs into his live performances and expects to adjust his setlist as fresh material arrives next year. He added that audience energy varies from show to show, regardless of the setlist.
