Police appeal after man assaulted in Enniskillen anti-social behaviour incident
Police in Enniskillen are appealing for witnesses after a man in his sixties was assaulted on Friday 5 June 2026.
The incident occurred at around 10.30pm on the Cornagrade Road, near the Riverside jetty. The man had been on his boat when a group of four teenage boys arrived and began shouting and engaging in antisocial behaviour, including riding scramblers.
When the man approached the teenagers and asked them to leave, one of the boys shouted in his face before punching him multiple times on the head and ribs. The other three youths ran away during the attack.
The assault was reported to police on Thursday 11 June. Sergeant Balfour, of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, confirmed that the area had seen ongoing issues with antisocial behaviour in recent weeks.
Sergeant Balfour urged young people not to get involved in criminal or antisocial acts, warning that such actions could lead to a criminal record and impact their future employment and travel opportunities. He also asked parents and guardians to speak with their children about where they are and who they are with.
Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area on the night of 5 June, or who has information, images or video footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1842 of 05/06/26. Reports can also be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
