An adult video was displayed on television screens at The Hunting Lodge in west Belfast last week, after a customer allegedly connected their mobile phone to the pub's system.

The incident occurred during business hours while the bar was busy. Staff and customers were reportedly surprised by the unexpected content.

Management issued a public statement saying the televisions had been accessed by a customer's phone. They described the incident as a hack and confirmed that the content did not originate from the venue.

The statement added that the individual responsible would receive a lifetime ban. The pub posted about the matter on social media, prompting a number of humorous comments from users.

The Hunting Lodge has not issued further comment beyond the initial statement.
