Dunamoney Flute Band parade in Magherafelt to feature over 50 bands
A parade featuring more than 50 bands from across Northern Ireland will take place in Magherafelt on Friday, organised by Dunamoney Flute Band.
The event will begin at 7.15pm and is expected to conclude around 11pm, with participants assembling in Rainey Street car park before moving off along a route that includes Rainey Street, Westland Road, Moneymore Road, Queen Street, Market Street, Kirk Avenue, Queen’s Avenue, Ballyronan Road, Fairhill, Church Street and Broad Street.
Motorists are advised to avoid the town centre during the parade.
Among the bands listed to take part are flute, accordion and pipe bands from locations such as Cookstown, Coleraine, Omagh, Limavady, Armagh, Newtownards, Bangor, Ballyclare and parts of Belfast, as well as groups with names including Ballymoughan Flute Band, Aughrim Rose of Derry Accordion Band, Cranny Pipe Band, and Pride of the Maine Flute Band.
