The Department for Infrastructure has opened a customer engagement questionnaire on the Strangford Lough Ferry Service.

The survey invites members of the public to share their views and experiences of the ferry, which links Strangford and Portaferry in County Down.

Responses will be used to determine whether changes to the service should be explored further.

The questionnaire is available online for 12 weeks, from 8 June until midnight on 31 August 2026. A hard copy can be requested by contacting Strangford Ferry Terminal during office hours or by emailing Strangfordferry@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk.

Any decisions on the future of the service would be subject to further assessment and, where appropriate, more formal consultation.
