Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble hosts Beijing to Belfast concert in Queen's University
Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble performed new compositions by Chinese composers at the Harty Room in Queen's University Belfast.
The event formed part of the Beijing to Belfast programme and was supported through the British Council's Connections through Culture initiative.
The works were created after the ensemble performed at the Beijing Modern Music Festival in 2025 and include pieces drawing on poetry, legendary figures and Dragon Carnival imagery.
Professor Xiaogang Ye and Guo Haiou attended from China, along with Chinese Consul General Mr. LI Nan.
Nora Douds, Chair of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, was also present.
Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble receives funding from the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
