A list of 100 casual restaurants, cafes and eateries across Ireland has been published for summer 2026. The selection focuses on new openings and informal venues rather than formal or Michelin-starred establishments.

Shauna and Mark Froydenlund operate in a restored stone barracks building in Derry. They serve daytime dishes including fried chicken with cornbread and pork belly doughnut. Plans include a new Food Yard for charcoal-grilled food and summer supper clubs.

The guide includes fourteen newly opened restaurants. Several venues offer seafood-focused menus and outdoor seating for summer use.

One new spot in Derry will feature laid-back grilled dishes. Supper clubs will draw on the operators' Michelin experience.

The list covers locations in multiple counties and highlights venues open on quieter days such as Sunday to Tuesday.

The compilers noted that the guide cannot include every option and encouraged support for local favourites.
