Ten Graduates Complete Aviation Training Programme
Ten graduates have completed Project Take Off, a training programme run by Thompson Aero Seating.
The participants came from Queen's University Belfast and Ulster University. They finished the programme in the latest cohort, bringing the total number of graduates since 2024 to 21.
Project Take Off offers graduates permanent positions with structured pathways into the business. The scheme combines hands-on experience, mentoring, and professional development across key areas.
Eva McElroy, head of HR, said the programme develops the next generation of aviation talent. She said graduates receive skills needed in a rapidly evolving industry.
Sean Gillen, a mechanical design engineer, said the programme provided exposure to different areas of the business and support from experienced mentors.
The scheme supports Thompson Aero Seating's commitment to developing local talent in Northern Ireland's advanced manufacturing and aviation sectors.
