Fivemiletown College students place second in Young Enterprise NI awards
Students from Fivemiletown College finished as runners-up in the Company of the Year category at the Young Enterprise NI Awards.
The group created a card game called Emotion Commotion to encourage discussion about mental health, improve emotional awareness and promote positive interactions.
The students handled all aspects of the project from initial prototype design through to local market research.
Six school teams took part in the awards programme.
Carol Fitzsimons, chief executive of Young Enterprise NI, said the students showed the future of the Northern Ireland economy is in safe hands and that the programme builds confidence, teamwork and real-world skills.
Queen's University Belfast serves as the lead educational partner for the Company Programme.
Professor Julie McCandless of Queen's University Belfast said the creativity and innovation shown by the finalists reflect the strength of entrepreneurial talent in Northern Ireland schools.
