Funeral Held for Tyrone GAA Figure Frank McGuigan
A funeral service for Frank McGuigan was held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Ardboe.
The service was led by parish priest Fr Gerry Tremer.
Mr McGuigan died suddenly on Sunday.
Attendees included First Minister Michelle O'Neill and representatives from GAA clubs across Ireland.
Fr Tremer said a minute's silence was held at the Tyrone versus Roscommon game on Sunday.
He recalled Mr McGuigan winning Ulster minor medals in 1971 and 1972, and leading Tyrone to the Ulster senior title in 1973 at age 19.
Fr Tremer described Mr McGuigan scoring 11 points from play in the 1984 Ulster Senior Championship Final against Armagh.
Mr McGuigan's playing career ended months later following a car accident.
Fr Tremer said Mr McGuigan remained involved with his club and community after retiring.
The service ended with a tribute stating the King has left the field but his legacy will live forever in Ardboe and throughout Tyrone.
