The Museum of Free Derry will provide free admission to local residents and half-price entry for students on Mondays from 1 June to 31 August 2026.

The museum will also run its Eyewitness lunchtime talks at 1pm each Monday in June.

Staff members James Toye and Noel Doherty will lead the talks and answer questions about events covered by the museum.

The promotion aims to increase visits by residents and students.

Visit Derry will promote the offer through its website and digital channels.

The museum is located in the Bogside and presents the civil rights movement, Free Derry, and Bloody Sunday through personal accounts and artefacts.

Maeve McLaughlin, Director of the Bloody Sunday Trust, said the summer programme gives local people and students a chance to learn about the community’s past and its relevance today.
