The Mellon Country Inn on Beltany Road outside Omagh has closed.

The family-run hotel, owned by the Mahoney family originally from Augher, shut its doors for the final time after reopening in 2017.

The property had hosted weddings, parties, community events and country music performances during its period of operation.

Owners issued a statement thanking guests who attended events, stayed overnight, or visited for meals.

The statement also credited past and present staff for their work in running the hotel.

The business had been purchased and refurbished by the family before reopening nine years ago.
