A new care home on Brookmount Road in Omagh approaches completion for a June opening. The facility will create around 60 jobs including nurses, care assistants, domestic staff, kitchen workers and maintenance personnel.

The £2 million project combines two existing buildings with a new link structure. It will provide accommodation for up to 15 residents with dementia, physical disabilities or mental health needs.

The development addresses bed shortages in the Western Trust area. Around 13 cases in the trust's Physical Disability Services require high dependency units in Omagh and Enniskillen.

A company spokesperson based in Newtownabbey described Omagh as an ideal location. The spokesperson stated recruitment continues for the modern facility and expressed intent to integrate into the local community.

The company formed in 2017 and operates two care homes in Newtownabbey.
