Temperatures in Northern Ireland stayed below the existing May record of 28.3C set in Lisburn in 1922.

Tuesday is expected to remain dry with warm sunny spells and patchy cloud.

Overnight temperatures will fall to a minimum of 11C.

Wednesday is forecast to stay dry and bright with a maximum of 21C across Northern Ireland.

Thursday is expected to remain warm before clouds increase, with a risk of showers by Friday.
