Northern Ireland forecast to reach 24-25C on bank holiday Monday
Northern Ireland will see sunny weather on bank holiday Monday with temperatures reaching 24 to 25C, according to the Met Office.
Met Office meteorologist Marco Petagna said an overnight mist will lift to bring fine weather, with hazy sunshine possible at times.
The figures fall short of potential highs of 33C to 34C forecast for parts of England and Wales.
The all-time hottest day recorded in Northern Ireland remains 28.3C, set in Lisburn on 31 May 1922.
Saturday saw a UK high of 30.5C in Kent, the first time the UK passed 30C this year.
The highest temperature recorded in Northern Ireland on Saturday was 20.5C at Helen's Bay.
Tonight will stay mild with temperatures in Belfast between 12C and 14C.
