Care for Cancer will hold an open day on Wednesday, June 3 at its Campsie premises in Omagh.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm and is open to the public. Visitors can view the recently refurbished centre.

The charity received the King's Award for Voluntary Service. The award recognises the work of volunteers who have supported families affected by cancer for 38 years.

Refurbishment of the centre was completed in response to rising demand for services.

Vice chairperson Laura Mills said the charity offers support locally in a confidential manner suited to individual needs.

Former and current volunteers, clients, fundraisers and supporters have been invited to attend.

The charity can be contacted by email or phone for information on its services.
