Omagh school raises over £1,000 for hospital unit
A primary school in Omagh has donated more than £1,000 to the Cardiac Assessment Unit at Omagh Hospital.
The £1,033.91 was raised at a charity carol service held by Gibson Primary School.
The donation was made in memory of Sydney Gilfillan, who served as the school's caretaker.
Mr Gilfillan died in 2014 at the age of 63.
The Western Health Trust accepted the donation on behalf of the Cardiac Assessment Unit.
Sydney's grandsons, Alfie and Harry Gilfillan, presented the funds to hospital staff.
The school held the event to honour Mr Gilfillan's long service and contributions to the local community.
