Traitors Winner Dedicates Chelsea Garden Honour to Late Mother
Rachel Duffy, who won the BBC reality show The Traitors, visited the Chelsea Flower Show to honour her late mother Anne Mullen.
Duffy’s mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and dementia at age 47 and founded the first Newry and Mourne Parkinson’s support group.
Anne Mullen died shortly after the show’s final aired.
Duffy said her mother would have enjoyed the Parkinson’s UK garden and would have spoken to visitors about the condition.
The garden was designed by Arit Anderson, who has a family connection to Parkinson’s.
Duffy posted on social media that the visit was for her mother and described the garden design as a strong message that helps people understand the illness.
She said her family’s Parkinson’s resilience roses will bloom in Ireland.
