Staff at St Joseph's College in Enniskillen have told a local MP that pupils are being taught in makeshift classrooms due to a lack of suitable space.

The school is struggling to accommodate rising numbers of pupils with complex educational and behavioural needs.

Sinn Féin MP Pat Cullen visited the school and heard from staff about the cramped conditions.

She has written to Education Minister Paul Givan to highlight the issue.

Cullen said children with additional needs are being taught in spaces that are not acceptable in 2026.

The school is oversubscribed for next year's intake, adding pressure on existing facilities.

Staff commitment is being undermined by the inadequate teaching environments, according to Cullen.
