The reception team at Derry's Shipquay Boutique Hotel won Reception Team of the Year at the NIHF Receptionist Awards.

The awards took place on May 13, 2026, at the Armagh City Hotel.

The event recognised front-of-house staff for their skill and professionalism in delivering guest services.

Tracey Forbes from The Lodge Hotel in Coleraine received Receptionist of the Year.

Kristen McFeely from the Waterfoot Hotel in Derry placed second in the individual category.

Clare Sweeney from Bishop's Gate Hotel in Derry came third.

NIHF President Vicky Green said reaching the awards final reflects the dedication and skill of participants.

Green added that reception teams play a vital role in shaping the guest experience and setting the tone for hotels.
