£2.2 Million Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme Opens
A new £2.2 million Rural Micro Capital Grant Scheme has opened for applications across rural Northern Ireland.
DAERA Minister Andrew Muir announced the scheme, which will provide grants of £500 to £2,500 to rural community groups, voluntary organisations and social economy enterprises.
Projects must address issues of rural poverty or social isolation and can include equipment purchases or minor improvements.
The scheme also supports energy efficiency measures and environmental improvements to help reduce emissions and energy costs.
Organisations must provide at least 15 percent match funding. The maximum grant has been increased to £2,500 for this round.
Applications must be submitted by midday on 22 June 2026. The scheme is delivered through local Rural Support Networks.
