Travis Keane, 35, of no fixed abode, appeared via video link from Maghaberry at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police responded to a road traffic collision in Dungannon at around 12.30am on May 4, 2024. A woman's vehicle sustained damage from impact with a Seat Ibiza.

Two men left the Ibiza and ran through a nearby field after the crash. Officers soon found Keane walking on a nearby road. He held keys to the Ibiza, reported stolen on May 7.

Police arrested Keane and a second suspect. Keane said he rode as a passenger in the vehicle. In custody, he gave no comment during interview.

District Judge Francis Rafferty sentenced Keane to three months in custody. The judge also disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
