Dungannon Man Receives 15-Month Jail Term for McDonald's Assault
Jordan Apsley, 25, of Greers Road in Dungannon, received a 15-month custodial sentence from District Judge Francis Rafferty at Dungannon Magistrates Court.
The main charge stemmed from an incident at a McDonald's restaurant on November 4, 2024. Apsley entered the restaurant, asked a man for money, then punched and kicked him to the floor.
Police attended the scene. A staff member supplied CCTV evidence.
Apsley also faced charges from a separate incident on July 8, 2024, for assault and threats to kill.
He faced additional charges from March 3, 2024, when police found him with Class C drugs and illegal fireworks.
A defence solicitor stated Apsley had spent significant time in custody over the past 12 months due to breaching a suspended sentence. The solicitor noted Apsley had a limited prior record.
