Gerard Gillan, 26, from Valiant Court in Antrim town, appeared at Antrim Magistrates Court in Ballymena. He admitted stealing a jar of money worth £69 from Golden Inn on April 14.

The court clerk read the charge, which specified the theft of cash belonging to the business. Gillan has a prior criminal record.
