Daniel McMullen, 37, of Hillview Terrace in Castledawson, faces charges for stealing almost £2,000 worth of tobacco from more than 20 shops across Northern Ireland.

The alleged thefts occurred between September 2025 and February 2026 at locations including Antrim town, Ballyclare, Ballymena, Belfast, Carrickfergus, Coleraine, Craigavon, Derry/Londonderry, Enniskillen, Lisburn, Magherafelt, Omagh, Portadown and Randalstown.

McMullen appeared at Ballymena Magistrates' Court where the case was mentioned.

He also faces two charges related to his driving licence and two charges related to insurance.
