Runners from Murlough Athletic Club took part in events across Northern Ireland and further afield. Ciara Laverty completed the 5k at the Cooley Coast Run on the Cooley Peninsula on Saturday. Brenda Doran finished the 10k distance at the same event hosted by Kickhams GFC.

Fiona Barr ran the 10k at Run the Runways, an event by Scrabo Striders at Ulster Flying Club in Newtownards on Friday evening. The races included a children's mile, 5k, and 10k on airport runways.

Eleven club members finished the Belfast Marathon. Lynette Killen and Rebecca Wyglendacz ran their first marathons. Paul Gallagher, Lisa Cunningham, and Noel Cunningham set personal best times.

Conor McPolin completed both the Manchester and Belfast marathons. Declan McCormick finished Belfast less than two weeks after the Boston Marathon on 20 April, where he ran his 36th marathon in 3:18.

Ciaran Poland finished Boston in 3:59 and earned World Marathon Majors Six Star status. His wife Charisse Poland completed the race in 4:52 and gained the same medal while raising funds for Belfast Samaritans. Claire O’Rourke finished the London Marathon.
