Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has completed a resurfacing project at Maghery Country Park. The work aims to improve the visitor experience at the lough shore site.

Gibson Bros Ltd carried out the improvements on behalf of FP McCann. The council funded the project with around £180,000.

Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Jessica Johnston visited the site with local councillors, council officers and contractors. She stated that the council invests in outdoor facilities to draw visitors to sites like Maghery Country Park for views of Lough Neagh and wildlife along the shores.

Councillor Johnston congratulated the contractors and council officers for delivering the project.

The park spans 30 acres with 5km of woodland walks and picnic areas. It supports birdwatching, fishing and walking.
