Strabane Pedestrian Bridge Named After Late Councillor Ivan Barr
A pedestrian footbridge in Strabane received the official name Ivan Barr Bridge during a ceremony on 9 May.
Derry City and Strabane District Council Mayor Cllr Ruairí McHugh unveiled a plaque at the site. The event marked the anniversary of Councillor Ivan Barr's death in 2008.
Ivan Barr served on Strabane District Council after first election in 1985. A reception for the Barr family and guests followed at council offices on Derry Road.
