Police Treat Wreath Thefts from Strabane War Memorial as Sectarian Hate Crime
Police in Strabane are investigating the theft of five wreaths from a war memorial on Derry Road as a sectarian hate crime.
The wreaths were taken from the cenotaph sometime between 12.30pm on Wednesday, May 6, and 3.30pm on Friday, May 8.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed the incident is being treated as a sectarian hate crime.
Officers have asked anyone in the area during that time who saw suspicious activity or holds relevant footage, including dash cam material, to come forward.
