Marcin Januszweski, 48, from Ballyveigh Gardens in Antrim town, attended the Top of the Town bar on March 13.

Police noted he smelled of alcohol, spoke with slurred speech, and responded slowly to questions.

Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, heard he failed to provide a breath sample.

A defence solicitor stated Januszweski regrets not providing the sample as he believes he was under the legal limit.

The court banned him from driving for 15 months and imposed a £400 fine.
