Utility Regulator Starts Tariff Reviews for Electricity and Gas Suppliers
The Utility Regulator has launched formal reviews of regulated tariffs for electricity and gas suppliers serving domestic and small business customers in Northern Ireland.
Power NI faces a tariff review for its domestic electricity customers. Firmus Energy's gas tariffs in the Ten Towns area are also under review. These processes started now and will conclude by the end of May, with announcements to follow.
SSE Airtricity Gas Supply, which provides gas in Greater Belfast and West areas, is not in formal review. The regulator continues to monitor its tariffs.
The regulator oversees these tariffs by tracking the costs involved and approving changes when required.
