Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has opened affiliations to the ABC Sports Forum for the 2026/27 financial year. The forum partners with the council to support local sports development.

Clubs can affiliate for £30 and access grants such as National Governing Body Quality Accreditation Grant, Volunteer Development Grant, Grant Aid for Coaches and Umpires/Referees, and Representative Sporting Club Grant. Individuals can join for £20 and apply for Talented Athlete Grant and Leisure Access Card.

Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray stated that the borough offers sporting excellence and provision, with affiliated membership providing financial assistance, learning programmes, news, updates, and value for money. He encouraged local sporting clubs and individuals to sign up.

Chair of ABC Sports Forum Edith Jamison said affiliated members gain access to information on funding, events, training, awards, and governance.

Affiliated clubs and individuals can seek election as sport representatives at the forum's AGM, receive subsidised places on coach education and club development programmes, get updates on grants, programmes, awards, and events, and have club details added to the ABC online sports directory.

New members must affiliate with Sport NI, Sport Ireland, or a UK Sport recognised governing body. Existing members must reaffiliate this year.

An information evening takes place on Monday 11 May from 6.30pm to 8pm at Gilford Community Centre. Attendees can learn about membership benefits and meet the Sports Development Team. Contact Sarah Aiken, Sports Development Assistant Manager, for details.
