Ryan McGowan, 38, from Beechmount Avenue in Belfast, faces multiple charges related to a burglary in Larne on February 2.

Prosecutors charged him with stealing a suit of armour valued at £500. He also faces charges of handling that stolen armour, possessing suspected crystal meth, and possessing diazepam.

Police recovered collectible knight-style armour from a holdall at an address in Glenarm, a police officer told Ballymena Magistrates' Court on March 12.

The court heard McGowan has 30 previous convictions.

Deputy District Judge Noel Dunlop refused bail. The case returns to Ballymena Magistrates' Court on April 9.
