SAG Credit Union sponsors the Best of the West awards in West Belfast. The organisation has offices in Andersonstown and Stewartstown Road. It has served the community for over 60 years.

Nominations for the 2026 awards closed recently. Organisers count entries to select shortlists for each category. Shortlists appear in next week's paper.

Readers vote for favourites after shortlists publish. Finalists attend a gala evening at the Devenish on June 5.

Sheena Joyce, Chief Executive of SAG Credit Union, stated the awards provide a chance to recognise contributions from local businesses and community groups. She added that such support aligns with the credit union's commitment to West Belfast.
