Verdict Date Set for Springhill Massacre Inquest After 54-Year Wait
A verdict date has been set for the inquest into the Springhill Massacre. Sinn Féin MLA Aisling Reilly welcomed the announcement that families have received the date.
The Springhill Massacre took place in 1972 in Belfast. Families pursued truth and justice for 54 years. The inquest process lasted 70 days.
Reilly noted the families' determination in securing this stage. She stated Sinn Féin will support the Springhill and Westrock families. The party plans to stand with all seeking truth and justice.
