A man received hospital treatment for a hand injury after a shooting on the Bushmills Road in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

The incident occurred between 01:00 and 01:30 BST on Sunday when the victim walked home. A male dressed in black with his face covered approached and fired four shots. One shot struck the victim in the hand.

Police closed the Bushmills Road from the Ballycastle Road junction to the Artillery Road junction for enquiries. The road has since reopened.
