Northern Ireland Consultancy AD Sustainability Plans Expansion Amid Rising Demand
AD Sustainability, an environmental consultancy based in Ballygally, Northern Ireland, plans to double its size over the next three to five years. The firm aims to expand operations into the Republic of Ireland within the next six months.
Founder Adrian Davis founded the company in 2013. It now employs three full-time consultants, a project assistant and a business support manager. The business intends to recruit more staff.
Demand for its services has increased due to businesses facing higher energy costs and pressure to address sustainability. Clients seek assistance with cost reductions in energy and waste, carbon accounting, reporting and decarbonisation planning.
The company serves public and private sector organisations in manufacturing, hospitality, tourism, aerospace and energy.
AD Sustainability received support from the government-backed Go Succeed programme, delivered free through Northern Ireland's 11 councils. This aid helped scale operations, develop a new app-based digital tool for monitoring environmental data and carbon emissions, and acquire equipment including thermal imaging technology.
The firm also mentors other businesses via Go Succeed, including work with councils on programmes for local companies.
Laura McCourt, business client manager at Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, stated that AD Sustainability demonstrates how local firms can meet market needs and innovate.
