Protests over increased fuel prices will occur at several locations in Northern Ireland on April 14 at 2pm. Organisers aim to halt traffic with participation from HGV drivers and farmers.

Gatherings are scheduled at Larne, Westlink in Belfast, Lisburn, Nutts Corner, Mallusk, Ballygawley Roundabout and the A5 road in Omagh. Additional sites include Antrim and Toomebridge.

The action follows fuel price rises linked to recent military action. Police Service of Northern Ireland officers plan to monitor the events after seeing online posters calling for the demonstrations.

A PSNI spokesperson stated that police know of the online calls for protests across Northern Ireland and will watch the situation.
