Cairncastle LOL 692 held a dinner to mark its 200th anniversary at The Halfway House Hotel in Ballygally on March 28.

Lodge members greeted arrivals and directed them to seats. Brother Cecil Knox served as Master of Ceremonies.

Guests at the top table included Most Worshipful Grand Master Brother Harold Henning, County Antrim Grand Master Brother Maurice Kirkwood, Deputy County Antrim Grand Master Brother Dessie Gray, Larne District No 1 Worshipful District Master Brother Eddie Peacock, lodge Chaplain Brother John Shaw, and Worshipful Master Brother Trevor Acheson.

The evening featured toasts, grace, and a meal, followed by speeches. Cairncastle Flute Band chairman Brother Robert Hunter presented a framed drum skin to the lodge.

Brother John Shaw gave a vote of thanks. Flowers went to ladies who assisted the lodge.

Brother Trevor Acheson stated the night celebrated the anniversary and remembered past members, wives, families, friends, and supporters over 200 years.
