Woman Jailed for Dangerous Driving After Crash Near Broughshane
Tanya Clarke, 36, from Lanntara in Ballymena, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged with dangerous driving after her vehicle ended up in a ditch near Broughshane.
The incident took place on January 20. Clarke also admitted lacking insurance, driving without a valid licence, and obstructing police by providing a false name.
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene.
Clarke stated to police that she was under the influence of substances and recalled little of the event.
Her defence barrister noted a serious drug addiction and prior record.
The court sentenced Clarke to two months in jail, a two-year driving ban, and a £100 fine.
