Dots Social Enterprise in Ballymena has delivered 1,000 hours of support to older people. The service provides cleaning, companionship, assisted shopping and help with household tasks.

Dots stands for Delivering Options Through Tailored Solutions. It operates under Agewell, which supports older people in Ballymena, Larne and Carrickfergus. All profits go back into Agewell to fund services promoting independence and wellbeing.

Jenny Marshall, Agewell executive director for community programmes, stated the milestone covers conversations over tea, safer homes and reduced isolation for older people.

Dots serves as Mid and East Antrim's first Age Friendly employer. It hires older workers and offers flexible jobs.

Marshall noted that such services help older people stay independent amid health and social care pressures. Profits reinvested into Agewell extend the impact of each hour.
