Three Arrested After Viable Device Found in Glenarm Security Alert
Police in Northern Ireland arrested three people after discovering a suspicious device in Glenarm, County Antrim. The incident occurred on Feystown Road on Monday, 6 April.
Officers received a report just after 10am. Ammunition technical officers attended the location and conducted a controlled explosion. They determined the item to be a viable device.
Two men, aged 43 and 47, were arrested at the scene. Police suspect them of conducting an act intended to cause an explosion likely to endanger life or seriously damage property, along with obstructing officers. Both remain in custody.
A woman in her 70s faced arrest on suspicion of obstructing police. Authorities later released her pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
