Participants scaled Cuilcagh Mountain in Fermanagh on Saturday to remember Gregory Cassidy. The father-of-four passed away at age 56 in August 2025.

The walk raised £21,900 for Cancer Connect. Organisers included Fermanagh company Mannok, where Cassidy served as maintenance supervisor in the cement division since 1993.

Mannok described Cassidy as a professional who took pride in his work. They noted his friendly manner, thoughtfulness and determination as qualities that made him a valued colleague.

The statement highlighted Cassidy's ability to connect with people through humour and a supportive approach, particularly with new staff and apprentices.

Mannok added that Cassidy showed kindness to colleagues from the Philippines by helping them settle into the team.

Employees from Tracey Concrete and Enniskillen Gaels GAA club joined the walk.
