Derry Tenor George Hutton Features on Celtic Tenors' New Live Album
George Hutton, a tenor from Derry, appears on a new live album by The Celtic Tenors. The 16-track record comes from a performance at The Empire Theatre in Belleville, Ontario.
The group consists of Matthew Gilsenan, Daryl Simpson BEM, and George Hutton. They mix Irish folk, opera, classical, and pop music. A PBS television special with the trio streams on PBS.org and the PBS App.
The special airs on stations including WNET in New York and KVCR in Los Angeles. The album includes tracks such as Grace, Galway Girl, Sweet Child O' Mine, Viva La Vida, Danny Boy, Whiskey In The Jar, and The Impossible Dream.
Colm O'Regan plays grand piano. Darren Bell plays guitars and mandolin. John O'Brien plays pipes, whistles, and bouzouki. Cecilia Leahy plays violin.
The trio plans a tour of Ireland this autumn. They return to North America for a Celtic Christmas tour in 2026. The album releases on streaming platforms and through Slammin' Media and Believe Distribution.
