Police Service of Northern Ireland District Support Team officers conducted searches at residential premises in Cookstown over the Easter weekend. They uncovered suspected drugs worth an estimated £6000 hidden in sophisticated concealments.

A PSNI spokesperson stated that officers possess the expertise to detect such drug hides. The team targets drug dealers to protect communities in Mid Ulster.

Operations continue year-round, including during holidays. The District Support Team works behind the scenes to maintain safety in the area.

Officers encouraged the public to report information on drug supply. Contact can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
