BALLYMENA: A 38-year-old Larne man appeared in court charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing a hatchet and bottles as offensive weapons, and possession of cannabis - all in relation to an incident on 28 September last year. The case was adjourned to 30 April, with a prosecutor indicating it may be referred to the Crown Court.
BALLYMENA: A 30-year-old Newtownabbey man was remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with sending threatening online messages to a South Antrim MLA, harassment, attempted intimidation, breaching a restraining order, and possession of cannabis. The defendant denied involvement, claiming a social media account had been set up by someone posing as him, and the case was adjourned to 29 April.
