Portglenone, a village in the Bannside area of Co Antrim, may change its name due to issues with AI search engines. The village appears in a web report listing population centres with confusing names.

A spokesperson for the International Society for Clarity of Pronunciation, Ali Porlof, stated that AI engines struggle with the village's pronunciation. Some engines interpret the name as Portglen1, replacing the final letter with the numeral one.

Porlof proposed renaming the village Portglenown to eliminate the confusion.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has received no approach on the matter.
