Dromore Man Receives Suspended Sentence for Indecent Act at Antrim Train Station
Martin McMillan, 40, from Gallows Street in Dromore, County Down, received a four-month prison sentence suspended for two years at Antrim Magistrates Court in Ballymena. The court addressed an indecent behaviour charge from December 14 at Antrim Train Station.
Lisa O'Neill, 48, from Maple Crescent in Dunmurry, pleaded guilty to the same charge in a prior hearing. She received nine months probation.
Police received a report around 8pm on December 14 from a 13-year-old boy who saw O'Neill perform a sex act on McMillan on the platform. Up to a dozen people were on the opposite platform.
Officers found both at the scene under the influence of alcohol or drugs. McMillan admitted the act and possession of a small amount of cannabis.
District Judge Nigel Broderick noted the offence occurred while McMillan was on probation for prior convictions including disorderly behaviour and assaulting police. The judge stated custody was avoided due to the existing probation order.
