Lisa Marie O'Neill, 49, from Maple Crescent in Dunmurry, pleaded guilty at Antrim Magistrates Court in Ballymena to indecent behaviour on December 14. The charge related to a sexual act at Antrim train station. Martin McMillan, 41, from Gallows Street in Dromore, County Down, also pleaded guilty to the same charge on that date.

A 13-year-old boy reported the incident to police at 7.50pm on December 14. Officers arrived to find about a dozen members of the public on the opposite platform. Both defendants showed signs of alcohol or drug influence.

Prosecutors withdrew an initial outraging public decency charge and substituted it with indecent behaviour. McMillan additionally admitted possessing cannabis and faces sentencing at the end of March.

O'Neill gestured to police to indicate the sexual act and said she and her partner felt aroused. District Judge Nigel Broderick noted the act occurred in view of adults and a child. He described it as unacceptable in public.

The court considered custody but noted O'Neill's limited record and personal issues. A defence lawyer confirmed the pair remain in a relationship. O'Neill received a one-year probation order.
