DAERA Sets Brucellosis Compensation Rates for April 2026
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has fixed compensation rates for brucellosis reactors and negative in contacts scheduled for slaughter in April 2026.
Owners will receive 75 percent of the animal's market value or 75 percent of £3,068, whichever amount is lower.
Pedigree animals qualify for 75 percent of £3,368 under the same lesser-of rule.
These rates apply across Northern Ireland to support farmers affected by the disease control program.
